Almost invariably, the humanities are called upon at the end of the process, to analyse and interpret the effects of a particular phenomenon on our lives and society. There are some, however, who have chosen to use this very lens not downstream but upstream, to ensure that the humanities can guide<\/em> research and industrial development and \u2013 in this way \u2013 contribute to a different and, perhaps, more critical and responsible way of ‘doing business’. <\/h2>

For this and many other reasons, we gladly accepted the invitation from Professor Fabio Clarizia and the Department of Human Sciences at the University of Salerno to share Logogramma’s experience during a seminar for the Excellence Programme in Digital Humanities.<\/p>

To have a tangible impact on our society and our local areas, research must traverse the world of education, from schools to universities, and reach businesses and the market \u2013 in a continuous dialogue between these spheres.<\/p>

What happens when the rigour of scientific research meets the capacity to develop technologies, the pragmatism of the market, and the critical perspective of humanistic disciplines? For Logogramma, it is precisely in this convergence that innovation takes shape. <\/h2>

This was the guiding theme of the seminar \u00abResearch, technology, and humanistic thought converge to generate innovation: Logogramma’s experience\u00bb<\/em>, delivered by Azzurra Mancini \u2013 CInO and co-founder of Logogramma.<\/p>

The meeting provided an opportunity to share a vision of technological enterprise that transcends the boundaries between research and application, between knowledge production and its dissemination<\/strong>.<\/p>

Because innovative technology is not born solely from the ability to develop a solution: it requires solid scientific foundations, engagement with the academic community, understanding the real needs of society and businesses, and the capacity to translate ideas into useful tools.
And an approach that starts with the humanities by design.<\/p>

In such an ecosystem, research, businesses, and the world of education mutually reinforce each other.<\/h3>

Logogramma’s distinctive feature is its ability to operate along the entire innovation pathway. Scientific research provides opportunities for dialogue with the academic world and finds validation and discussion within it; industrial research allows for the development of products that demonstrate their value and potential in the real market context.
Knowledge, in turn, is not confined to laboratories or corporate processes but becomes a subject of dissemination and education. It is the most precious knowledge we possess, both as individuals and as a community. <\/p>

This perspective recognises the value of research not only in the results it produces but also in its capacity to generate stimuli, competencies, and new possibilities for understanding the world.<\/h3>

In this model, doing business also means assuming a cultural responsibility: contributing to making technological transformations understandable, supporting people in acquiring new skills, and creating opportunities for dialogue between different disciplines and professions.<\/p>

From school to university: knowledge as a shared heritage<\/h3>

Logogramma’s commitment to education unfolds in various educational contexts. In schools, it also includes programmes for teachers to address the challenges posed by artificial intelligence, with the aim of fostering a conscious understanding of technologies and their impact on educational processes. <\/p>

In the academic sphere, the exchange takes on a complementary dimension: the company brings its experience in innovation development, engaging it in dialogue with scientific reflection. This provides an opportunity to bridge the perspective of those who study and interpret changes with those who contribute to their realisation. <\/p>

It is precisely within Digital Humanities that this dialogue acquires an even more particular significance<\/strong>.<\/p>

The convergence of technological expertise and humanistic knowledge allows for viewing innovation not only in terms of performance and tools but also in terms of meanings, uses, consequences, and value for people.<\/h3>

Innovating means building connections<\/h2>

For Logogramma, innovating means holding together what is too often separated<\/strong>: the solidity of research, the ability to create products, market experience, and the dissemination of knowledge.<\/p>
