On Wednesday 24 September 2025, the “Joint NETWIN-SUPER Workshop” took place at Sapienza University of Rome, organised by Sergio Barbarossa and Marco Polverini of Sapienza University of Rome, Gabriele Elia of TIM, and Stefano Salsano of the University of Rome Tor Vergata.
The workshop is part of the activities of the RESTART programme and the NETWIN and SUPER projects – with the support of COMMON NET – and, alongside the institutional and academic partners of the RESTART project, Logogramma participated with a scientific poster presented by Antonio Origlia (University of Naples Federico II) entitled “Interactive Virtual Assistant with Conversational AI Capabilities”. The contribution allowed the progress of the joint work for PoC3, which the partners are currently carrying out, to be shown to those in attendance.
PoC3, which is part of the NETWIN project, demonstrates how the use of AI can optimise networks and telecommunications through service placement, data transmission, and the monitoring of communications. In the use case shown, a complex ecosystem of services was deployed to support interactive 3D applications on holographic platforms for real-time interactions. Specifically, this aimed to support a series of fundamental functionalities for managing human-machine interaction, in real time, using natural language.
The RESTART programme is promoted by the Ministry of University and Research, with funding from the European Union – NextGenerationEU as part of Mission 4 “Education and Research” and Component 2 “From Research to Business” of the PNRR.
